The last place where Emma Dawson wanted to live was Las Vegas, but when her new husband is stationed there, she feels that she has little choice. Moving cross country from her friends and family to Sin City proves challenging enough, without the added difficulty of being a recent college graduate in a city built on tourism and entertainment during the worst economic recession the country had seen since the 1940’s. Emma begins experiencing nightmares as traumas from her past resurface and her marriage starts veering off course. It is this, and the meeting of a dangerous new friend, that shake Emma’s blinders loose. Denial is a tricky thing for this naïve, young, lamb and to differentiate between what is real and what is not, Emma initiates therapy where she realizes how little she can trust herself or the people around her. To make matters worse, Emma is faced with a brutal dilemma: what to do when she realizes that the things she wants the most will cause her own self-destruction?
